All of the googly eye emojis for the fabulous Ms. K...and also to my favorite ladies of Style Hair and Makeup. I feel like I don't talk about them enough but it might just be because I want to keep them all to myself! Anna and Lo are so incredibly gifted and knowledgeable in their craft. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I have them to work alongside with because quite frankly they make my job easier!
Our boudoir behind the scenes video that we posted recently has a few behind the scenes moments of its own! We thought we'd share a few of these images with you so you can see how much work went into the creation of our video, and how much fun we had while making it! I guess we were a little too busy to take photos of each other, and we're bummed we didn't get a crew group shot at any point, but we're happy to share what we've got! :) Bryan Coward of Lucky Lemon Films and Ryan Dillow of MAD Cannon Productions had their work cut out for them as they had to bring all of their gear up to our studio on the 3rd floor! They worked out a game plan and set up while Carolina and I (Shem) tried not think about the moment we'd be in front of the camera!
After filming our intro scene with Crystal, Jess Waldrop of Jess Waldrop Makeup Artists started working her magic! LOVE these girls, and their silly sense of humor! (Kinda matches ours, haha!) We're also grateful to them for sprucing us up a bit (okay, a lot!) and getting our faces camera-ready!
Bryan does whatever it takes to get the shot!
Remember this scene in the video? This is what Carolina was shooting on the other side! Hi, Bryan!
These are two of the very few shots we have of ourselves that day! Next time, we'll be sure to get a few more, maybe without hiding behind other people. ;)
SO much work went into getting the perfect lighting and sound for each scene; and then Bryan would shoot from a variety of angles, giving direction to Crystal as he saw the final piece coming together in his head. In between filming, we continued our session just like any normal day!
We gave direction to Crystal like any other client...this was her first time doing anything like this, just like most women who come to us for a shoot! It was a ton of fun to work with her, especially because she's NOT a model (even if she looks like one!)! She's like every other woman that comes through our doors...except she's also a friend, which made it even better! She was a trooper having all kinds of cameras in her face all day, too. (Thank you, Crystal, we love you!)
We don't want to leave out our amazing assistant, Amber! She was there for us all day long, taking care of pretty much anything we asked of her! (Supplying us with Starbucks coffee, making sure we got our Chipotle fix, being our lighting test subject...she even put together a cotton candy machine and made fresh cotton candy in our studio!!) Here she is helping us test the light for the cotton candy scene. Thanks, Amber!!
All in all, it was an amazing, if tiring, day! With everything that Bryan did for us that day, we most of all thank him for giving us the following two images, which we think you'll agree need no explanation, and we're sure his wife will want copies of. (That's right, ladies, this one's taken!)
And that's a wrap!! Thanks so much again to everyone who helped us make our video shoot a success! And please check out Lucky Lemon Films if you're looking for any kind of creative video production...Bryan and Tracey are AWESOME and will help you create something you never dreamed possible! Take it from us...they ROCK!
