We often get requests for certain poses, and today we thought we'd share one of our top-requested looks! This is one of our favorite poses for boudoir photo shoots....all of our clients love it! It's a super flattering angle for almost any body type, and just about everyone chooses an image from this pose for their Boudoir Book. It's definitely a go-to favorite!!
We received this super sweet email recently from one of our clients-turned-friends after she received her album proof, and we just had to share with you all! Everything she wrote rings true with our overall mission as photographers for women. We love getting to know so many talented, strong, amazing women and helping them create not only lasting, beautiful images, but a lasting feeling of beauty and empowerment that they can keep with them for a lifetime. Our photography isn't about lingerie or "being sexy"...it's about connection. We want you to connect in the most positive way to yourself, seeing a beauty and strength you may not have known existed! We are so happy that Miss C., along with so many other women, have had this experience with us.
Have a wonderful and happy day, everyone!
Where do we begin!? It's been a long time in the making...let's just say we've been wanting to film a behind the scenes video of a boudoir shoot for years, but actually started planning this shoot last Fall. Our goal was to show women who are thinking about doing a boudoir session what it's really like, and how fun and empowering it can be! We wanted to capture what a great experience our clients have with us, from getting their hair and makeup done, to having fun during their boudoir photo shoot, through seeing their amazing images in a same-day proofing session. We were beyond excited to hire Bryan Coward of Lucky Lemon Films to turn our vision into a reality! (Thank you, Bryan, for all of your amazing talent and hard work!!). Our amazing client/model/friend Crystal absolutely killed it! You looked amazing and we appreciate you placing your trust in us! Jess Waldrop Makeup Artists (who do all of our styling for our boudoir shoots) were of course there to make our client, Crystal, look suuuper glamorous for her shoot...and they did an amazing job, as always! (Thank you, ladies, for helping us look our best on camera, too!!) :) Plus a HUGE thank you to Lesley Geyer at The Pink Petticoat for letting us borrow some ridiculously gorgeous and sexy lingerie for this shoot! (It was impossible to choose our favorite!) For the bridal look, we turned to none other than Cindy Rivera at The White Closet, and she provided the gorgeous veil and bridal jewelry for us to use. (Cindy, you are the best!! Thank you!!) With the help of these talented and generous people (and our awwwesome assistant, Amber!) we were able to create a video that we think really captures the spirit of what we do here. Ready to see for yourself? Press play!
When we first met Miss M, we were immediately warmed by her sweet spirit, gentle nature and easygoing personality. Like most of our clients, she had never done a boudoir shoot before, but despite her nervousness, she put her trust in us and went with the flow! We just loved photographing her...you can see that spark of fun and playfulness in her eyes that we're sure her husband knows and loves! Are you thinking about doing a shoot but feeling nervous about being in front of the camera? We totally understand!! Don't worry, we're not going to leave you hanging to try and pose on your own while we just click away. Just like with Miss M, we'll guide you every step of the way and help you with posing while making sure your hair, clothing and accessories look just right. :)
Crystal was our stylist for this shoot, and we think Miss M looks GORGEOUS!! We're kicking off this post with a few images from her styling session while getting her individual lashes done. (We LOVE how natural and thick they look and feel!) Enjoy!!
What more can we say...Miss L is stunning!! She wanted to surprise her hubby with a little something special, and we think he's going to LOVE what she had in mind! We wanted to start off with a "before" photo plus a few while she was getting her hair and makeup done by the fabulous Crystal of Jess Waldrop Makeup Artists! We always love this part of the process...it gives us time to chat and get to know each other better before starting the shooting part of the session. Plus it's a great way for our clients to relax, feel pampered, and mentally prepare to go in front of the camera. Oh yeah, and we usually laugh a lot, too! ;)
If you're trying to think of the perfect gift for your husband's birthday or a unique wedding anniversary gift, this is definitely a winner...for both of you!! Not only does he get gorgeous images of you to treasure for a lifetime, but you get the experience of a lifetime! (Can't beat that!) *sigh* We just love our jobs!! :)
Have a happy Friday and awesome weekend, everyone!!
We started Miss K's session with two gorgeous and glamorous sets from The Pink Petticoat, and then finished off with something more fun and playful: her husband-to-be collects comic books and she came up with the unique idea to be reading one while wearing the cutest Wonder Woman tee and superhero underwear! A-DOR-A-BLE and so sexy at the same time! We loved this session and admittedly had a hard time wrapping things up! We're excited to share a few we've been given permission to show...enjoy! P.S. Does this give you any ideas for something unique you'd like to incorporate into your shoot for your hubby or significant other? Share your ideas with us in a comment! We'd love to hear!
We are so THRILLED to finally share our shiny new website! This year, Room 3307 has seen a lot of growth and changes. In November 2012, we moved into our very first studio space! It's hard to believe that in few short months we will be celebrating a year at our Westshore studio (pictures coming soon!). Then again, it's also hard to believe that three weeks ago we celebrated 4 years in the boudoir photography business! I guess time really does fly when you're having fun!
Check back often as we have so much to share in the coming weeks!!
